Prosthodontics is the area in dental medicine in which a single or multiple missing teeth are being substituted and the existing teeth are being treated for improved function, longevity or aesthetics.

Fixed prosthodontics implies installment of permanently attached tooth substitutes which vary from veneers to crowns or bridges. Materials used are metal-ceramics, zircon-ceramics, plain zircon and metal-free ceramics.

Mobile prosthodontics includes partial or complete dentures. Partial dentures are combined with veneers and anchors on existing teeth providing patients with highest results in terms of both function and aesthetics. Complete dentures provide solution for toothlessness and are combined with implants when bone ridges are atrophied to a point where they can’t act as a solid denture basis.
